short stops

when i was in europe i visited friends in kassel and in munich.  these were short stops along my way with two wonderful girlfriends. in kassel i visited with caro and my godson art, also known as kiki and in munich i visited with veronica and her family.

i found a ride from berlin to kassel with a young lady on an online ride share site. it was great! i payed only 20euro for the four hour car ride.  i got dropped off at the train station and caro and kiki picked me up.  it was wonderful to see them!  caro and i know each other from berlin.  i was at kiki's birth 6 years ago and caro and i knew each other long before that. last year shortly after i left berlin caro and kiki moved to kasssel.

the last two days in europe i spent in munich with veronica, her husband ehsan and their little boy sam.  veronica and i met years ago at a spiritual dance workshop in munich which we both attended.  we loved each other from our first meeting.  she is a flight attendant and so she would visit me in berlin or even one time in san francisco when she was on her job. she is a sweetheart and a wonderful woman! she is married to ehsan and they have a sweet little boy named sam.  they live in munich where veronica has lived most of her life.  a few months ago they opened a physical therapy office which is  already doing very well.  i enjoyed my visit with them very much!

i feel blessed that i have so many wonderful friends and loved ones all over the place! thank you all for welcoming me into your homes and taking time out of your busy lives to visit with me as i pass through your area!! 

steyr, austria

i spent two weeks of winter in steyr, austria with lovely people, yummy food, warm wood fires, beautiful music and lots of snow!

one night there was so much snow and ice on the road i could not drive up the hill so i had to leave the car on the road and walk the rest of the way home. it was not far which was good at 1:00 am, it was exciting and funny! i picked the car up the next morning when the road had been cleared and salted.

i recorded 10 songs with my friend josef in our friend erwin's garden house on two snowy days. the album will hopefully be finished this year some time. i will post about it as soon as it is ready!!

one day my friend antonella and her daughter pia and i drove out to sonntags berg to our friends who have a flea market house and who sell schnaps and other austrian specialities.  they are a wonderful family who i love to visit!!

one thing that i always have to do when i am in austria is to sing at the böller bauer with the böller bauer live jam band and the revo*lotion allstar dj crew.  the böller bauer is a place where music happens! it is an old, old farm which is now a place where people come for parties, concerts and magical musical moments of loveliness! i always feel very inspired at the böller bauer!!

in steyr  i was full of many feelings.  i love spending time with all the dear and wonderful people there. i was able to really BE there and connect with everyone.  steyr is the place where alex grew up, where he lived before he came to berlin, to be with me and to make his transition. for me alex is everywhere in steyr.  it is sweet to be in his place and spend time with his people. i feel so close to them, to him, and  to the cycle of life and death.  alex is aways in my heart, in the hearts of all who knew him. for me spending time in steyr was good, healing and clearing.  i visited alex grave a few times, spent time remembering him and our days together.  letting him go more and more into his cosmic journey that we too all shall some day take.  he is free and he is beautiful and he is resting in peace.
