boulder colorado area

its taken me a while to get down to updating because i have been having too much fun!! we have been in the beautiful boulder colorado area for a few days now.  my old friend from high school,   derek blood was very nice to let mom and i stay at his lovely big house in longmont, at the foot of the rocky mountains. he took some time out of his busy schedule to show me some beautiful spots here in the area.

we celebrated mom's birthday and my half brother once removed, ethan miley, wife sarah and their two adorable sons, john (6) and walker (3) came to ted and ellen sue's house and we celebrated together. it was great!! 

unfortunately the one photo of mom blowing our her candle is totally blurry.

you may ask, dear reader, how can one have a half brother once removed, well let me tell you.  ethan and i share no parents but we do share 4 half sisters. my father peter had 4 girls (leah, nina, miriam and melina) with betty, they split up and betty had a son with tom miley (ethan) and my dad had me (mariko) with my mom (kienda).  get it??

this time in boulder has been good.  this is a very interesting place, lots of spiritual impulse here.  i think i will come back some day for another visit.  its great because i know a lot of dear people here in the area and so coming back again will be a bit like coming home and its so amazingly beautiful here at the foot of the rocky mountains!!
