lovelightleadsme: burning man 2012, fertility 2.0

hello dear reader!! sorry to have been so silent for so long. things have been really fast paced for me and it has been very hard to keep up to date here at lovelightleadsme. i have been spending lots of time with family and friends and i have been so much living in each moment, that it's hard to go back over every thing. i want to share some amazing photos i took at the burning man festival this past week. burning man is a large festival that takes place in the nevada desert. it takes place on a huge 100 mile flat prehistoric lake bed. it is beautiful and rugged and amazing. the conditions are dramatic, really hot in the daytime, cold in the nights and at any moment the wind can whip up and there can be what's called a ''white out'', where you can't see five feet in front of you because there is so much dust blowing around. it's wild and wonderful and amazing.

burning man is a place where people bring and do and create amazing, HUGE art pieces, some of which are then burned at the end of the festival. the creativity of the art i saw was really mind blowing, for one thing the scale of everything was just WOW. everything is extra large out there on the playa because of the expansiveness of it all. here are a few of my favorites.

it is impossible to see all the art at burning man. it is so vast and so much and seems to change each day. at night the whole place lights up. every instillation is lit up, there are huge lasers the streak the sky, everything glows and blinks and sparkles with lights of all colors. it's a magical landscape. there are also mutant art cars which move around so the landscape is always changing.. it's amazing!!

i met some wonderful german people who i connected with and fell in love with. it seems that german people are attracted to me and i to them. i love how cosmic it all is. i moved to america and yet i keep connecting with fabulous german people. its wonderful!!

for me burning man was a great experience. i felt very alive and right at home in the desert with all the art and the beautiful people, the magical landscape, the sunrise moments and the sunset moments. it was pure magic and i will be back there next year for more exciting experiencing.
